It introduces students to philosophical thinking and helps them examine key concepts like consciousness, free will, morality, and the nature of the self. The module encourages students to reflect on their personal experiences, values, and beliefs, while exploring how different philosophical perspectives have shaped our understanding of what it means to be human.

Students will learn about major philosophers and schools of thought, from ancient to modern times, and how their ideas have influenced human understanding of life, relationships, and society. The course aims to foster critical thinking and self-awareness, encouraging students to think deeply about their roles in the world and their connections to others. By the end of the module, students will be able to appreciate the philosophical foundations of human existence and develop their own perspectives on human nature and life’s purpose.
