Computer Systems Servicing

The Computer Systems Servicing module is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems and hardware. This module provides a practical approach to understanding computer components, operating systems, and various software applications, focusing on the technical aspects of computer servicing.

Students will learn how to assemble and disassemble computer systems, including how to install and configure hardware components such as motherboards, processors, memory modules, storage devices, and peripheral devices. They will also explore the installation and configuration of operating systems, software applications, and device drivers.

Key topics include understanding computer hardware architecture, diagnosing common hardware and software issues, performing system upgrades, and troubleshooting techniques for resolving system malfunctions. The module also covers preventive maintenance practices to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of computer systems.

Through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios, students will gain practical experience in servicing and maintaining computer systems. They will learn how to use diagnostic tools, replace faulty components, and provide technical support to users.
