Pre-Calculus
The Pre-Calculus module is designed to prepare students for the study of calculus by introducing them to key mathematical concepts and principles. This module focuses on building a strong foundation in algebra, functions, and trigonometry, which are essential for understanding more advanced mathematical topics.
Students will explore a variety of topics, including the properties and graphs of different types of functions (linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic). The module also covers topics such as transformations of functions, systems of equations, inequalities, and the basics of trigonometric functions.
In addition, the module introduces concepts of sequences, series, and mathematical induction, all of which play a significant role in calculus. Students will develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills, applying mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
Through exercises, examples, and applications, the Pre-Calculus module helps students develop a deeper understanding of mathematics and prepares them for the challenges of calculus and other advanced math courses. By the end of the module, students will have the necessary skills to approach complex mathematical problems with confidence and clarity.
