Computer Programming Using Visual Basic.NET

The Computer Programming Using Visual Basic.NET module is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of computer programming through the Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET) programming language. This module equips students with the knowledge and skills to develop simple yet functional applications using VB.NET, one of the most accessible programming languages for beginners.

Students will start by learning the basic concepts of programming, such as variables, data types, operators, control structures (loops, conditionals), and functions. They will also explore object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts, including classes, objects, and inheritance, which are essential for building more complex applications.

The module covers how to use Visual Basic.NET's Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to design graphical user interfaces (GUIs), allowing students to create interactive programs with buttons, textboxes, labels, and other controls. Students will learn how to handle events (such as button clicks), validate user input, and work with databases to store and retrieve information.

Throughout the module, students will engage in hands-on programming exercises that allow them to apply their learning to real-world projects, such as building simple desktop applications, calculators, and basic data management systems.

By the end of the Computer Programming Using Visual Basic.NET module, students will have developed a strong foundation in programming logic and will be able to create functional software applications, preparing them for more advanced programming concepts and languages.
